Angel

Angel (they/them) is an eclectic queer performance artist with roots in physical theatre and a passion for collaborative, feminist-queer storytelling. Originally from Italy, where they studied acting and literature, Angel’s journey took them to the Czech Republic, where they worked with Continuo Theatre, before landing in Berlin in 2017. With an MFA from Arthaus Berlin-Rose Bruford College London, Angel created TaranTa_Ta, a piece exploring powerful feminine expression, and collaborated with Replica Collective on Dancing at the Edge of the World, where physical theater meets feminist ideas and AI tech.

Angel’s practice extends beyond theater to yoga, which they began teaching in Berlin and Italy in 2020, after training in India. They also found a home in Berlin’s vibrant queer scene, performing drag as Angel Danger and co-producing and hosting the Dick & Danger Drag Show. Through Flintalicious, a FLINTA-only k!nky, s€x-positive party, they created spaces for queer joy and connection.

As part of Perperúna, Angel finds inspiration not only in the beauty of polyphonic singing but also in the storytelling behind each song, which they see as a powerful way to rewrite traditions through a female gaze, connecting body and voice to shared heritage.
